Superpump 250

A question was asked about a product by Gaspari Nutrition called Superpump 250. Here's my take.

In looking at Superpump 250, it contains nitric oxide and creatine mix with a propietary blend from the manufacturer. You've probably check it out but nitric oxide is an essential regulator of vasodilation and increase blood flow to the muscles increasing your "pumps". Gaspari Nutrition claims it's product increased the muscle mass size of subjects tested with one dose by 2 1/2 times more then those that didn't use the product and that after a 30 day usage, compared to a placebo group it increased their lean muscle mass by 947% greater increase in muscle mass and 234% increase in reps to failure. Sounds like a massive stimulant to me, but I've never use it before. The directions say that individuals who are sensitive to stimulants should start by using small dosages. It does appear to be a product designed for the body builder community.

I'm not endorsing or saying anyone should try this but because I get curious about these types of products I like to share.

Do you think this could help someone getting started out or should they be more experienced with strength training.

Also, how can this show increase in muscle mass so quickly? Does this mean there is just more water in the muscles? I'm confused how they can measure the effectiveness so soon after the completion of a workout. What about the growth phase?

All very good questions, I don't have an exact answer for. I do have a guess in that the additional mass size claim is simply the increased blood in the muscles. Clearly if you're able to increase blood flow and increase the number of reps you're able to do you'll have muscle growth however using stimulants to create this type of growth is something you should consider before using the product.

They claim that the products results are sustainable long after use, is this true? Who knows.
